"Shitasanja Ushumatati o Katha-Kabitara Cocktail" Held at Kalipadia

Bhadrak (29 December 2023): The entire state is experiencing a cold wave as December draws to a close. In this frosty ambiance, a unique event titled "Shitasanja Ushumatati o Katha-Kabitara Cocktail" was organized by Tihidi Sahitya Sanskritik Manch at Kalipadia, Bhadra, Odsiha on Friday evening. The event highlighted the Indian spiritual tradition of igniting creative energy through communal fire gatherings and chanting of "Omkar."

The open-air literary gathering, chaired by renowned columnist Dr. Bishwaranjan Das, advisor to Tihidi Sahitya Sanskritik Manch, featured esteemed guests, literary figure Bhushan Senapati and poet P. Hrushikesh. They emphasized the magical power of storytelling and poetry around the fire. Poetess Bishwamaitri Nayak recited the fire invocation mantra. Young poet Niranjan Barik introduced the guests, while storywriter Kailash Behera delivered the welcome address.

The evening of engaging storytelling and poetry, moderated by poet Ranjan Kumar Nayak, included contributions from poets Bhushan Bhushana Grahacharya, Sanjit Kumar Bal, Manas Kumar Panda, Devendra Mahalik, Baikunthanath Ojha, Reenarani Patra, Mukundadev Nayak, Rubilata Das, Sudharanjan Mahanti, Mir Abdul Dayan, journalist Prabhat Kumar Raul, Sanjay Kumar Das, Pitambar Sethi, Arjun Sethi, Raghunath Patra, Bishwanath Nayak, Abhay Kumar Das, Saroj Kumar Ojha, Pradeep Kumar Mahanti, Jyotikrishna Samal, Bikash Pati, Biplab Ranjan Pati, Manoj Kumar Panigrahi, Santosh Panigrahi, Ashutosh Karan, Bijay Behera, Amulya Senapati, Ratikanta Das, Akshay Kumar Das, Subrat Mishra, Tapan Hati, Mustaq Gahwar, and Abdul Dayan. Coordinator Bismayabihari Sahu delivered the vote of thanks.

The event management was handled by Prashant Mahapatra, Subrat Mishra, and Tapan Hati. The evening concluded with a group chanting of "Omkar" and extinguishing the fire.
