Bhubaneswar (19 January 2023): Dr. Subas Chandra Rout, a prominent contributor to Odia Wikipedia and a retired orthopedic specialist, has been honored with the "Cure Award" for the year 2023 by the Wiki Project Med Foundation. This award recognizes his extensive work in translating the highest number of medical science articles into Odia under the ongoing medical science project in the Wikipedia community.
Dr. Rout, who has written over 2000 articles for Odia Wikipedia, has translated 368 medical science articles, making him the most prolific contributor to this project. His dedication has made it possible for Odia Wikipedia to host a significant number of medical articles, benefiting the Odia-speaking community. Fellow Wikipedians have extended their congratulations and expressed their gratitude for his invaluable contributions.
