“We Cut Off the Snake’s Head”: U.S. Claims Destruction of IRGC Headquarters, Releases Video

Bureau (2 March 2026): The United States has claimed it destroyed the headquarters of Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) in a major military strike, escalating tensions further in the region. The announcement comes amid ongoing joint U.S.-Israel operations targeting Iranian military infrastructure following the reported death of Iran’s Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei.

In a statement, United States Central Command (CENTCOM) described the operation as “cutting off the snake’s head,” asserting that the IRGC has been responsible for the deaths of more than 1,000 Americans over the past 47 years. The command also released video footage purportedly showing the destruction of the IRGC headquarters.

CENTCOM said the United States possesses the most powerful military in the world and claimed that the IRGC no longer has a functioning central headquarters following the strike.

Meanwhile, the Israel Defense Forces (IDF) stated that it carried out strikes on more than 12 Iranian military command centers. According to Israeli officials, the targets included IRGC-linked facilities, intelligence headquarters, the IRGC Air Force command center, and internal security headquarters.

Israel said the coordinated strikes have dealt a significant blow to Iran’s command and control capabilities.

The developments mark a sharp escalation in the conflict, raising concerns about broader regional instability as military operations continue on multiple fronts.
