New Delhi: Prime Minister Narendra Modi today elaborated on the key reasons behind the abrogation of Article 370 in Jammu and Kashmir. In an interview with a media outlet, he stated, "This decision was taken after thorough deliberation. It was not made hastily but with careful consideration and purposeful intent."
Modi emphasized that the move was aimed at benefiting the people of Jammu and Kashmir. He highlighted that the abrogation of Article 370 would create new employment opportunities for the youth and accelerate the region's development. Specifically, he mentioned that sectors such as agriculture, tourism, information technology, and healthcare would see rapid growth. Modi expressed hope that the country's income would also increase as a result. He pointed out that Pakistan had been using Article 370 as a tool, which further justified its removal.
