Blood Donation Camp Held at Baleswar on Gandhi and Shastri Jayanti

Baleswar (3 October 2019): On the auspicious occasion of Mahatma Gandhi and former Prime Minister Lal Bahadur Shastri's birth anniversaries, a blood donation camp was organized at the Old Age Home in Sahadeb Khunta, Chandmari Padia, Baleswar, by Amrut Dhara Charitable Trust in collaboration with Sambad-Ama Odisha.

Baleswar Sub-Collector Nilu Mahapatra attended the event as the chief guest and inaugurated the camp. He praised the noble efforts of the Trust. District Blood Bank Officer Dr. Basanta Kumar Upadhyay and poet Prashant Das were honored guests who encouraged the blood donors. Dr. Upadhyay conducted health check-ups for the donors, while lab technicians Akshay Jena, Jyotish Kumar Pradhan, Sabanam Das, Padmalochan Mahanti, and Santosh Kumar Jena collected blood samples.

Each donor at the camp received a fruit sapling as a token of appreciation for their contribution. The event highlighted the community's spirit of giving and honored the legacy of two great leaders.

The Trust's managing trustee, Tushar Ranjan Satapathy, along with trustee members Dr. Saroj Kumar Mahapatra, Aravind Panda, Radhakrishna Das, Sudhanshu Sekhar Bihari, Balaram Sethi, Ratikanth Giri, Harishankar Das, Suresh Chandra Samal, Ashok Kumar Puri, Gopalakrishna Acharya, Bikash Kumar Nayak, Chandrakant Das, Saroj Kumar Sethi, Prabhassini Sahu, Hemant Kumar Mahanti, Jitendra Kumar Praharaj, Nityananda Pradhan, Prakash Chandra Nayak, Gnanaranjan Mahanti, Chandan Giri, Mandakini Behera, Padmani Mandal, Anupama Das, and Niranjan Panda managed the camp. Among others, Sambad's Baleswar representative Manoj Kumar Raul, Ama Odisha associate Lakshmidhara Barik, and all the trust members were present at the event.
