Bhadrak, August 11, 2024: Today, the Bhadrak Lekhika Sansad organized a rain-themed poetry event, "Tup Tup Barsha," at Mahendra Bhavan in Bhadrak. The occasion featured poetry recitations focused on the theme of rain and saw the unveiling of two books by Dr. Soma Chand: a short story collection titled "Kachaghara" and an essay book titled "Samaya Suare Nari."
The event, chaired by Dr. Jharana Pattnaik, was attended by esteemed guests such as Nirakar Das, Hridananda Panigrahi, and Basanti Mahanti. The poetry recitation session in the first half of the event was moderated by Dr. Mamata Sahu and others. Poets Anshuman Swain, Avani Pradhan, Professor Kishore Panigrahi, Patipaban Pani, Geetarani Aich, Radharani Mahapatra, Rashmita Das, retired professor Shashadhar Das, Preetilata Panda, Manorama Ray, Janakilata Padhi, Deepti Sahu, and Chaitali Khilar shared their poems.
The event was a beautiful blend of literature and celebration, bringing together intellectuals, writers, and journalists from Bhadrak to appreciate the art of poetry and the newly released books.
