Bhubaneswar, February 27, 2026: A two-day consultation workshop titled ‘Vikas Manthan–1.0’ commenced today at the Convention Centre of Lok Seva Bhavan. The event is jointly organised by the Planning and Convergence Department of the Government of Odisha and the Odisha Centre for Integrated Development (OCID).
The inaugural session was attended by Chief Secretary of Odisha Anu Garg, Development Commissioner and Additional Chief Secretary Deo Ranjan Kumar Singh, noted speaker and Editor of Organiser magazine Dr. Prafulla Ketkar, and Executive Editor of OCID Rana Prithviraj Singh, among others.
Addressing the gathering, the dignitaries presented their visionary perspectives on building a Developed Odisha by 2036 and contributing to the broader goal of Viksit Bharat 2047. They emphasized strategic planning, collaborative governance, innovation, and inclusive development as key drivers to achieve these long-term objectives.
The workshop has brought together experts, representatives from civil society, academicians, government officials, and other stakeholders to deliberate on policy frameworks and development strategies. Through structured discussions and consultations, the platform aims to gather actionable insights for sustainable and integrated growth of the state.
Officials stated that the deliberations during the two-day event would help shape future policy directions aligned with Odisha’s developmental aspirations and national goals.
