Bureau (22 July 2019): On Monday, the High Court granted bail to Sarathi Baba, also known as Santosh Raul, in a third case. Sarathi Baba had already been granted bail in two previous cases.
Notably, a case was filed against Sarathi Baba by a mother-daughter duo from the Barimula Ashram. In this case, the High Court granted conditional bail against two sureties of INR 2 lakh each. Additionally, the court instructed Sarathi Baba not to influence witnesses. The lower court may impose further conditions if deemed necessary.
Sarathi Baba, associated with the Barimula Ashram in Kendrapara, faced a total of three cases. He had previously been granted bail in two of them. Sarathi Baba had been in custody at the Choudwar Jail in Cuttack for over three years. With the latest bail, he is now out on bail in all three cases.
