Renowned Actor Irrfan Khan Passes Away at 54

Bureau, April 29, 2020 - The Indian film industry mourns the loss of one of its most successful actors, Irrfan Khan, who passed away at the age of 54. The beloved actor, known for his versatile performances in both Bollywood and Hollywood, was admitted to Kokilaben Hospital in Mumbai, where he succumbed to his illness.

Irrfan Khan had been battling a rare form of cancer, neuroendocrine tumor, since 2018. Despite his health struggles, he continued to work and inspire many with his resilience and dedication to his craft. His last film, "Angrezi Medium," was released shortly before the lockdown due to the COVID-19 pandemic.


Irrfan Khan's family, including his wife Sutapa and sons Babil and Ayan, were by his side during his final moments. His legacy lives on through his numerous acclaimed performances in films such as "Maqbool," "Piku," "Slumdog Millionaire," and "Life of Pi."
