Bhubaneswar (13 August 2022): The Wikimania Bhubaneswar Meetup was inaugurated today by Odia Wikipedians. The event was graced by the presence of Manoj Kumar Mishra, Secretary of the Department of Information and Technology, as the chief guest, while Manavpreet Kaur from the Wikimedia Foundation joined as an observer.
This meetup brought together Odia and Santali Wikipedians from both Odisha and beyond. The discussions focused on promoting the Odia language and culture through Odia Wikipedia, as well as various Wikimedia projects.
The two-day event promises to be a collaborative platform for sharing ideas and strategies to enrich the content and reach of Odia Wikipedia.
