Bhadrak (27 March 2023): India, home to the world's largest youth population, still finds a noticeable lack of young voices in literature. To encourage young writers and foster new creators, the Bhadrak Youth Literary Council organized an event yesterday at Gurukrupa Bhavan, Kalyani Nagar, under the aegis of 'Ama Matrubhasa Parishad'.
The event, orchestrated by young poets and organizers Bichitrananda Jena and Sangram Keshari Senapati, was chaired by Dr. Anil Das. The session was moderated by Prof. Kishore Panigrahi and Manas Ranjan Panda. Guests of honor, Rupak Bihari Ray, president of the Bhadrak Pujyapuja Parliament, and Kailash Behera, president of the Tihidi Sahitya Sanskritik Manch, inspired the young audience to engage more deeply with literature.
Participants in the event titled "Pada Katha, Di'Pada Kabita" included Monalisa Sahu, Patitapaban Pani, Janaki Padhi, Manoroma Ray, Sarojini Nayak, Deeptimayi Sahu, Gaurang Chandra Barik, Sasmita Sahu, Ratikanta Das, Ramesh Chandra Das, Anshuman Swain, Manoranjan Muduli, Pradeepta Mahanti, Biplab Kumar Hota, Rajat Kumar Sahu, and Mamatarani Das. They shared their literary experiences and recited both original poems and works from well-known Bhadrak poets. The event concluded with a vote of thanks from Dr. Mamata Sahu.
